Supply Chain Predictors

Postharvest shelf-life modelling for Australian fresh produce, aligned to the same page structure and interaction style as the avocado robustness tool.

About the project

The Fresh Intel Supply Chain Predictors were developed through the Serviced Supply Chains II (AM21000) project. Models predict shelf life for avocados, mangoes, and stone fruits from harvest inputs, treatment history, and shipment conditions.

They are trained and validated against commercial consignments across Australia to support practical, in-market decisions that reduce quality loss and waste.

Model workflow

Predictions combine maturity, variety, treatment, and transport profile to estimate remaining shelf life and quality risk at destination.

For multi-leg shipments, the calculators evaluate the whole temperature-time pathway so users can compare likely outcomes under different logistics plans.
